This workshop is designed to provide the entrepreneur or practicing business person practical, real-life information on how to start and operate a small business.

Accounting issues in tax filings and recordkeeping.
Legal entity alternatives: their costs, advantages and legal risks.
Legal pitfalls in starting a business.

II. The Business Plan and The Business Loan This session focuses on the following aspects of a business plan :

Sources of Financing, and Financing Options.
What is needed for a Business Loan?
Requirements of Loan Repayment.
The Loan Process.
Why a written Business Plan is needed
The contents of a Business Plan.

III. Sources of Market Information and Marketing This session focuses on the following aspects of Marketing :

Sources of Market Information and Statistics
Assessing the marketability of your products or services.
Determining your target market.
Creating you marketing message.
Identifying the best marketing channels for your message.
Creating, executing and monitoring your marketing plan.

IV. Its All About Profit This session focuses on on how to increase the profit of any business.

From Business Plan to Action Plan, tracking your predictions versus your actual performance.
Revenue and Profit, measures of profit, simple formulas for Gross Margin and Contribution Margin.
Four basic methods of increasing profit.
Examples on how successful businesses can increase profits by using these methods.

Schedules and Fees:
Each course costs $25, plus $20 for the business plan manual. A special price of $100 is offered for 4 courses as a package including a manual . Additionally there is 50% off the course fees for each additional person. All fees are non-refundable .
